Dash mounted ignition switch
If I'm using a start button for the engine, can I use one of the dash mounted ignition switches (key operated) that only has an OFF and an
ON?

Doesent it need an anti theft device that can't be operated whilst the engine is running??
Ie you turn the key and take it out of the ignition engine stops and stearing lock engages..
If any one has a beter idea id love to know as ive always liked them push to start switches with the red toggle to turn ignition on

That's what I've done, but my key switch has three positions.

I just use a toggle ignition switch with flip up cover, starter button and ignition light mounted on a pre-built ali plate. My security device is a
hidden switch but still reachable from the drivers position. no problems at SVA

Im using on-off ign switch and savage start button. Ill be fitting a cat 2 immobiliser with one of those touch on transponder key thingies.
Steering lock not reqd for SVA - just a means of isolating the car that cant be activated when car is tunning from the drivers seat. Low tension
ignswitch on passenger side that cant be reached is OK. Battery cut off under the bonnet is OK.
