Recently applied some vinyl graphics to a Striker that belonged to Sunderland Uni. It was unfinished, might be worth asking if they'd part with it as from what I was told it prolly wasn't gonna get finished.

It was a nice shade of blue (somewhere near Pantone 2965) with Escort 2 running gear and a 1600 x-flow.

A bit of slapstick never hurt anyone.

Unfortunately I don't. We delt exclusively with a design agency and just turned up on site when required. They've got a web site though.

Think it's something to do with the Technology of Engineering departments.

What have you done Bob?

All the bits from Raw can be made to fit (as I found out earlier this year after having a fight with a signpost), and mine was even more awkward being Striker no.6 with a strange chassis!!!!

You'll be struggling to find random bits to be honest, but try the Sylva Sportscar Register.....

BIG shunt at Pembrey.

Got over-optimistic on braking into the hairpin.

Front of chassis MAJORLY mangled.

If you come across a Mk2 chassis, let me know!

have you tried the new owners of the Striker ? ... Jeremy used to do a lot 0f new front clips for the Irish racing guys who bent cars on a fairly regular basis

Yeah - Mel at RAW Engineering will do me a new chassis - but it's a lot of money and a lot of work.

Keep meaning to ring Jeremy in case he has any old bits lying around. I doubt it though cos he sold all the rights to Mel..........

Is it 1" RHS it's made of. Anybody building their own chassis should be able to fix it if you have the original measurements or some reference points to work to.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I've just rebuilt the front of mine after stuffing it! Chop out tubes, weld new ones in. Grind off bad welds. Weld on better. Weld joints that should have been welded when the chassis was built in '86.....
