A fool and his money are easily parted..

Just because he spent £2000 rebuilding it (I suppose it was for sentimental reasons) does not mean it is worth the money he put into it.

Wait until the auctions over and if he has had no bids offer him £150..

I'm under no illusions that the money I have spent on my Mk will never be returned if i sell it, but i have the car i want....

I remember a news item a few years back that showed a collection of cars that someone had. they were all run of the mill family cars that had delivery milage only.

So some one out there is collecting for posterity, i wonder if he is still going???

a mate of mine has an example of every ford rs model made! Some of them have very low mileage. He has a rs500 in orignal condition thats done 9000miles and a s1 rs turbo thats done 15000miles. All of the cars are either original condition or restored to original spec

One of you guys with plenty money buy it..

..strip it apart for bits...

..trash the bodywork...

..send the photos to the guy selling it now...

..await his response.

As Ned asks, WHY?

At present it is in no way a collectors car (unless it was a cosworth), and it has been modified from original anyway so wouldn't get many concours points for originality.

Not worth anything like £2k in my opinion.

What? Every RS model? He must be very rich, and have a very large garage.

Now that hurts! I love sierras, not the crappy models, but we used to road rally a 2.0 tweaky one and I have run XR4x4's for some time. They are utterly bulletproof cars for no money at all!!

HOWEVER>>>>>>>>>WHY THE HELL HAS SOMEONE DONE THAT TO ONE!!!!!!!!!!

We never spent that much effort on the road rally car, and the effort that was spent was to make it faster and better to drive and stronger!!!!!!

£2000, maybe knock a 0 off!

Garage is large to say the least, and has two floors, with a lift to get cars down!

The air going in is dried and the rarer models are in those bubbles!

Oh and yes hes loaded!

What about the really rare one, the RS1700t? I know Malcolm Wilson has one but where are the rest?

i know he has a mk3 rally car,so could be one! He only has "original rs models", nothing built after leaving the factory as it were. As i said the really special ones are in air tight bubbles!
