battery size

ive just bought a new battery for my BEC which is a YTX9-BS (Standard fitment for a Fireblade). while i was there a bought a new battery (12N9-4B-1) for my CB 250 RS, which is a single cylinder Honda.

i was hoping the fireblade battery would fit into the battery box of a spare CB 250 RS i have, as the battery box is a perfect choice for my car. the problem i have is the fireblade battery is physically too big to fit into the battery box.

i noticed that the fireblade battery is rated at 8 amps and the 250 RS battery is rated at 9 amps.

my question is would the 250 battery be powerful enough to run the fireblade?

many thanks.

Possibly will run it - but recharging rates may be a problem as the fireblade battery is made to suit the engine output rate... sounds ok but I honestly would be quite anxious if it was me.

There are some battery experts on this forum that should be well up to answering this question...
