ecu basemap - will my engine run

I have a dta ecu that should have a absemap on it for my engine, but will it still work on my engine as I have different flow rate injectors? I also have higher compression and different camshafts.

I expect the map will be on the rich side for a base map but will the engine actually run or just splutter ?

I want to try and test as much as possible before I go to the rolling road - anyone got suggestions/comments/cheklists?!

cheers,

Ned.

Ned,

If it is way too rich then you could reduce the fuel pressure regulator setting to get to about the same flow rate as the mapped injectors, could be done by feel if your confident, assuming that you have an adjustable regulator.

Obviously keep engine load and rpm down until properly mapped.

Getting close then

Cheers,

Colin

Thanks Colin.

I've yet to set the fuel pressure with the regulator but don't fancy doing it by guess work!

It was my assumption that any basemap will be on the rich side to protect the engine as a one map fits all to fire it up needs to be on the safe side of things.

cheers,

Ned.
