R1 BEC- 3.38 or 3.62 LSD?

which one would you guys use- im building an r1, and can get hold of both of these, my donors coming in a few days and itll have an lsd, but i think i could find a cheap 3.38 without much hastle. would you sacrifice speed for handling? im just using it for everyday driving, maybe take it to a track day once in a blue moon...

so considering they'll be both around the same price, which would would you keep, which one would you ebay....

The ideal combination for the bec,is the 3.38,if you have both, you could remove the, slip diff from the 3.62,and fit it to the 3.38,I had this done for me,by"KIT FIT" when I built my car,so I don't actually no how difficult it is to do,but it can be done

i rather not use both if i can help it, just because either of them on ebay could make some good money...

I have a 3.62 LSD and I have no problems with it. Max revs in 6th on my R1 engine = 120 MPH though. On a track day you might need more.

A 3.38 open diff and push in shafts will weight 10kg less. you will have more top speed in each gear (7%) but less acceleration. Either is probably good.

3.62 lsd on mine and I can do 122 mph tops speed
and 55mph in first gear

seems good to me

I'd go with the 3.38

The viscous LSD will be some 16 years old and isn't really the best anyway.

I went for the 3.38 as it was lots lighter and I'm planning on a Quaife ATB later down the road

I'd go for the 3.38 and save the weight.
