Burning DvD's :(

Burning DvD's
Hi All, help needed, I need to take vid clips off of a cam corder and edit them , then save to a DVD to get copied.
I can save the files and edit them with Windows movie maker (XP), but this won't then save to the Emprex DVD writer as it won't recognise the avi file
Help

Jason

Sadly the laptop I'm trying to do it on is only web linked via the school server and I can't be bothered to go through the headache of opening up the school to try that method, mind you, I guess i still might have to

The dvd writer came with the latest Nero and another player program, am using or trying to use the Nero for the burning, but it says the avi file isn't compatible to burn ?

Are you trying to burn it as an ISO DVD or a DVD-video? Have you changed from supported compilations and file types in the drop down to all files? It may be something like that stopping it. I use the Intervideo Discmaster that came with my old drive as it's so much simpler than Nero. If you're using the divx player it will will burn to dvd now without using anything else.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
