R1 Exhaust Can - SVA OK?
I'm considering swapping my can for an R1 jobbie prior to SVA.
I've searched and found some suggestions that the R1 can is OK for SVA.
Has anyone got any experience of these failing the SVA?
From photos on Ebay it doesn't look like the can has a rolled end, which I expect would fail.
Thanks
Stu

Most bike end cans should pass SVA based on their construction. The worry I'd have would be emissions - there are a few people who've
passed SVA with an R1 end can, but on a different engine.

Thanks
Do you mean noise?
Are the R1 cans quite noisy?
The CVH is pretty quiet - almost too quiet - with the Westfield Exhaust on it.
Thanks

I was actually thinking about catalytic converters and any differences between requirements for cars/bikes.
I've got an MK silencer for mine, but would much rather fit a bike silencer as they can be more pleasing on the eye. If there's no
difference in requirements, I'll be sticking an Akrapovic silencer on mine!

From what I've seen a bike engine and R1 can won't pass the SVA.
An R1 can on an old engine (pre '95 ??) wouldn't be subject to the tight emmissions and therefore would pass as long as it passed the
radius tool.

I am using a R1 can. I also have put an angled tail piece with radiused end. I have also covered the centre strap, may be unnessasary though.
