Don't think you can do it on the Avon due to it's tiny internal proportions, especially the tranny tunnel compared to the other tigers.

Consider a vertical one infront of the dash.

As you are building your own chassisand, presumably, it's from the book?

Where have you put the front, upper wishbone pivot line, above the lower?

The book is wrong.

As are a lot of dimenions in the book. The top of the chassis will not meet the bottom if you follow the book dimensions.

Hi ,Designer and Pat,
Thank's your reply.I am not in the stage of locating upper wishbone pivot line yet.I am using Jim's second(updated) edition book.On page 68 he gives the chassis elevation dimensions and on page 69 drag 6.6c he mentioned that the uper pivot line must be parralel with bottom rail.Did you say that these dimensions and infos ara wrong? If so please can you give me the true dimensions.
Pad,

Hey Evrim,

What Pat(Avoneer) ment is that the dimensions are not correct. If you build it by the book the upper part of the chassis will not fit on the lower part.

As only the 75 mm at the front is mentioned is not clear how to fit.

I made it fit!

I make the upper wishbone mountings parrallel to the upper. As the lower are under 5.5 degr up.
This prevents castor-changes due heavy braking. I presume you could optimise, but i don't have all the wisdome.

The drawings looks if the two standing tubes which connect the upper and lower frame. (mounting points upper wishbone)
Are under 90 degr at the top!
This is not correct. If you mount them that way the castor will not be +5,5 degr but around zero.
