Bolt on roll bar
How do I fit my bolt on roll bar? There does not appear to be enough room as the top bracket for the damper and other chassis tubes terminate on the
underside of the mounting plate.
Thank you for your help.

Good question, I was wondering that one myself. Do you drill and bolt through the square tubing?

As it is mainly cosmetic, most people use rivnuts.
If you want it to be safer then get one with backstays and have the whole thing welded on
Welcome by the way

I drilled 4 holes through the mounting plate on the chassis and the plate on the bottom of the roll bar. The outer two had rivnuts in them, the inner
two go straight through into the nuts with large washers to spread the load across the tubes.
I think that Indykid used 3 fixings though, two on the inside and one in the middle on the outer edge.

I had the same problem. Best option is to get it welded on with back stays but to help with access I wanted mine removable.
After a lot of head sratching and thought I, and looking at how may bolts/grades westfeild had used I decided on 4 x 12.9 grade M8 cap heads on each
side.
I found these are just small enough to lose the head inside the square tube, allowing you to bolt them up without crushing the tube. i.e. a large hole
on the bottom to just allow the cap head to pass through the tube and 8mm holes on the top.
The nylon 12.9 nuts on the other side will be covered with SVA nut covers.
Their combined tensile strength of the 8 bolts works out about the same as westfields arrangement.
