Suspension adjustment for track days

I have got adjustable shocks. Currently they are set up for an OK on-road ride/handling balance, but should I be looking to change the setup for track days?

If so, is it a question of just cranking up front and back both, say, 3 clicks, or should I be looking at something else?

Advice gratefully received
