Looking for some stuff on Santa Pod I came across this super Xmo video with amazing pictures of twisted rubber.

So, if they used solid rubber tyres, there reaction times would improve.

And their quarter times would plummet.

Wrinkle wall tyres are a must, can be a bit worrying when they get a wobble on though

Those drag racing videos are horrific - especially the "worst drag racing crash" - 280mph into the barrier (and survived!).
