Zetec 1.8 to 2.0 cams
When changing silver top zetec cams from 1.8 to 2.0 should you change more than just the cams?
I seem to remember reading on here that you need to change shims or something as well.

New set of lifters lifters as well is normal so i've been informed, probs worth also a cambelt kit too if you dont know the history.
lifters link
belt kit
Above cam kit is stated for mondeo, best check how many idlers you have for correct kit.

It's about swopping over the items that have 'worn together' over the life of the camshaft donor engine.
So the tappets (hydraulic/solid etc...) plus the camshaft would be best.

Hi.
I changed the belt 3000 miles ago so that should be ok.
The engine I have has only done 48000 miles will the lifters have worn enough to change them? or could I use the ones from the engine the cams are
coming from?
I Should have said before i'm using second hand cams.
