there are a lot of "c spanners" out there to fit diferent sizes and shapes i would try a motorbike shop and take the coilover with you.

ebay was the same price as rally design and merlin, well, cheaper, but add posting... didn't know if anyone knew of any plumbing uses, maybe i could find one in jewsons (my mate works there) or a plumbers merchants or something. might have a go at making on tomorrow. its for tightening the locking nut on my grp 4 atlas axle

I got one off Dampertech for £5 from a show. It fits 1.9 and 2.25 dampers.

think i may have a go at making one tonight. got some 2" 3mm strip. the lock nuts on the axle are actually a bit smaller that shock absorber ones

dare I say this.....I've used a pipe wrench (stillson) followed by a blunt cold chisel to tighten up the locknuts on a full floating atlas at rally service before......works fine!
