Fitting Rubber bonnet catches

Morning all

I was going to fit my bonnet catches this weekend but when offering up the template of mounting holes it appears that at least of the the catch mounting holes will need to go through the top chassis rail.

Is this right? the instructions supplied say that there should be a 27mm gap between the upper hole for the latch and the bottom hole for the keeper.

So asll MK owners with the rubber catches could you please confirm whether one the the mounting holes goes into the top rail.

Many thanks
Nigel

Hi

Mine definitely go through the top rail.

If you want a pic let me know.
