Savage Brake switch????
Hi,
I'm after a couple of bits for my dash. I need a rear fog switch and a brake warning, problem is i want some that look the same ish. I notice
savage do a rear fog switch but the brake one is confusing me a bit. It says it says it's a test warning button???? is it just an warning
indicator or is it a switch? hence no good for me?
Cheers

I think that is like the start button in that it does not stay switched on like the rest do i.e you have to hold it down. The light is separate from
the rest of the switch anyway so you can wire it up like a bulb. Surely though for the SVA a test button is required which I think that is intended
for

don't think you need a test button, just a warning light.

Thats not quite right I'm afraid Whipster...
It isn't an actual switch it's just a nice looking and expensive warning lamp.
It still can be used though, and when you get to SVA, you can use your handrake switch as the switch. And then you also have the Brake fuid
reservoir test switch...

I can confirm that it is just a light without a switch. Savage have a 'mix & match' design which means that you can fit a warning
light to a switch if required. Having said that, the brake warning light isn't supplied with a switch.
ps You just need to mount the warning switch into the handbrake lever - pull the lever up to check the warning light and Mr SVA is a happy chappy

Hmm I assumed that it was to replace the need to press the reservoir button, savage missed that one...
What car was it that I had with that? the Cortina it think, a little amber light/button on the dash next to the ignition switch which let you check
the circuit, I liked that

so looking for some nice new ones.
