Supercat progress
Just had a pretty good day building the Supercat so thought i'd share some pics. Just started fitting the nose / bonnet and halfway through
making the pedal box, but other than that we arent that far of completion.
Here ya go anyway.....

If anyone needs their car finishing like I did, its definatly worth giving this man a call. There again, he's got his own project to concentrate
on next, haven't you paul.
thanks again buddy.

I'll eventually get back to building my own car - gawd knows when that will be now though - new house with garage first i think. Need to save
for the engine again next - think i need a lodger when i've moved (preferably a leggy, busty brunette who loves cooking!)

AERO SCREEN
paul did you have to modify the scuttle to get the aero screen to fit?

I did indeed have to modify the scuttle so its definately a one way conversion to fit the aeroscreen. I ground down most of the front lip and a small
amount of the rear lip where the screen fits to get the aeroscreen to fit nicely. Using a rotary sanding wheel and some patience its possible to get
the screen to sit nicely on the rear lip. This does leave a gap of about 10 - 15mm in the scuttle top so ideally a couple of layers of fibreglass
could be used to bridges this. I have a few other ideas of what i'm going to do with my B6 scuttle but this is getting painted anyway so will
be fairly heavily modified (and is slightly different to the cat anyway.)
Only thing i wasnt overly happy about is the passenger side indent just in front of where the wipers wheelbox is doesnt quite get covered by the
aeroscreen. Typical Tiger unsymetrical panels!!

Yes the cover fitted great thanks Milson. For those that dont know, Milson makes these and sells them via ebay along with other trim bits for the
Tiger at really great prices (half of Tiger's own prices).
The battery is an
Odyssey PC545 held in a
bracket from Optimum Balance Products who are traders on the forum.

I see the spare wheel carrier has been removed.
Did you add any support for the body tub?
That is the same mod I had in mind.

I did indeed. In that last pic the black strip across the bottom edge of the tub is a piece of powdercoated angle aluminium that goes inside the line
of the body. This was then drilled and bolted to a second piece of aluminium angle (forming in effect a U shape) which was in turn rivetted securely
to the chopped down spare wheel carrier. This was done simply by chopping out the required amount and then the end plate was welded back on like in
the pic.

It was a guy on ebay who was making them but doesnt seem to be advertising on there at the moment. Martin (the car's owner - on here B16MTS)
bought it on his own account so i dont have the guy's details at the moment........ but maybe Martin can dig it out from his transaction history
so you can drop the guy an email. Cant go wrong at £50 delivered (so long as it gets delivered to the place where its needed hey Martin!! )
