God bless the NHS / De-dion

Many people knock the NHS but i've decided they're fantastic.

G/f's doing a 12 hour shift that started at 9am (which meant i was woken at an ungodly hour and got up way before i normally would)

I've now made the de-dion chassis subassembly, am having half an hours lunch and am about to get back too it. Got to cut out the original chassis rails, weld in the new sub assembly and weld in the diff mounts.

After that, just need to make a new trailing arms bracket (which will have de-dion and live axle fittings).

Tell you what, days like today remind me why i'm building this blasted car - I'M LOVING IT!

(how many of you lot could say that when you're almost at year 9 of the build!!!!!)

It's refreshing to see I'm not the only one who is prolonging the pleasure of building a Locost.
I'm currently at the five year point, full of good intentions, (as I have been every year), but confident I will still be enjoying the Locost experience for as few years yet!

Ah well a man needs a hobby or two

That makes me a slip of a lad at 3 years then, hoping to finish it next year though! I think I did say that last year on a similar post I do seem to be upgrading even before I've finished.

Still having fun though which is the main thing.

Cheers

Rich

and i've got this idea for a single seater......

anyway, i'm just taking 10 mins as the bl**dy sierra diff is being a pain to mount. I need more arms
