Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

You can get a car ferry from Portsmouth, Southampton, or Lymington. Passenger ferries from all of those as well.
For the Festival, the ferry companies run the ferries on quick turnaround, so the timetables can go out the window.
Best to book on a boat near to the time you think you'll get to the terminal, and you'll get on the next available.
Red Funnel are already on turnaround, and using the drop down extra decks as well, and that was 10 o'clock last night, when my nephews came
over.
If travelling by car, make sure you get your return booked, as the boats from very early monday morning until very late that night, will all be
chockablock.
I can see the Festival from my window as I write this, biggest here yet.
Oh, and it looks like rain from Sat night to Sunday morning. All my lot, their cousins and friends, are camped up high.
Cheers,
Syd.
