are Spax springs colour coded?

If so, does white mean 2.25 in?

You should not need a colour code to know the ID. Measure the wire diameter and the OD.

OD - (2 X wire dia) = ID

Be aware that the IDs are generally one or two mill oversize. 2.25 will probably be around 59mm.

i hate spax they charge you £1.50 a min to phone up to tell them they leak.
total rip off.
had two sets over the last ten years new and both sets leaked within 3 months..
