Oil cooler pipes

I had to cut the pipes on my oil cooler when i stripped my donor as i couldnt undo the nuts.
Is there any way i can join the remaining parts on the cooler and the engine with anything?
Im trying to avoid buying new pipes as they are expensive, even from a breakers
If anyone has done this before pics would be handy.

What material are the pipes you cut? Metal/rubber/braided? I had to cut some sections out of my oil cooler (as the pipes were much longer than needed) and I got some rubber oil hose from local motor factors for a couple of quid

Well i had to cut in two places. One metal and one rubber but the rubber end joins to a metal section

I cant imagine theres anything special about the hose?
- You should be able to get rubber hose from a hose supplier for buttons for metres of the stuff. As long as it can stand the oil and the temp your sorted. Simple low presure hydraulic hose or simular.
