Herbie films are a classic!!!
Totally agree with Driven. And i think i recall a scene where stallone does what looks like a handbrake turn when he picks up one of those coilns on
his tyres. Totally unrealistic, and the cgi is awfull
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Cannonball Run 3 is in my opinion one of the worse films ever made. John Candy's lowest film moment I feel. Its a steaming pile if ever I saw
one.
In regards to the Fast and Furious movies - what is 'Granny Shifting' and 'Double Clutching'?????

Any of the numerous films with two stroke engine noises dubbed over a four stroke bike (or vice versa).

Double clutching is an old method of gearchanging thats dates back to pre syncro gearboxes, where you may need to clutch to come out of gear, then
repress the pedal to go in to the next gear! Certainly nothing to do with driving fast!

Going back to the original post.
How dare you even suggest that Silver Dream Racer was anything other than a magnificent film
I was in that film and doubled for Mendoza, one of the works riders amongst other stuff.
And, OK, yes it was a bit, or even very, very bad.
Didn't stop me taking at least five different girls to see it at the time cos I was in it with David Essex. What a line

Ohhhhh, now you've opened the can of worms!!!!!!
V8 soundtracks for 6 or 12 cylinder cars and vice versa, accellerating engine notes when the car is going at a steady speed or slowing, I could go on
(but won't )

I remember watching a doc about the making of Ronin and was amazed by the lengths they went to to get the Audi S8 (???) engine sounds right.
It's Evolution Baby!
