I've worked within the insurance industry for the last 10 years... I can promise you that if you were to have an accident in it and it is not register correctly the chances of the insurance company paying out are practically zero... as a result you would have to pay out on any repairs and any legal fees.

this is quite apart from fines etc for driving a car that's not properly registered on the road.

They will ask to see documents as usual. Any copper will know that a 7-style car is not an escort. They will probably impound the car. Dunno where they would take it from there. I would imagine the penalties are he same as for a ringed car (confiscated and destroyed?)...though I'm not sure.

Just do as you like Mike.

You get a fine and points for no insurance, running a vehicle on false plates is jailable and they can hit you for back duty for avoiding road tax. Ignorance is no excuse in the eyes of the law so you can't say you didn't know it wasn't an Escort Mexico. The four year amnesty is up, why do you think he's getting rid of the car?

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

It's called being honest Mikey.

Insurance is there to protect yourself as well as others. If you are unfortunate enough to have an accident and injure someone, it's the "others" who suffer.

yeah mikey

i also think you cant do it.

do you have kids? imagine you hurt a child of some one driving a non correct secured car(insuranced??) no one would pardon that!

i think you could only buy it to repas the SVA as simple as that. or find out and do it legal.

Making cars is not a game!its a real danger dad you do and not only for you, when you have your plates etc also for others. a simple mufler that falls down on the highway can cause a llot of chit and that's only one thing.

the second point is how relax can you drive when you know that you are getting it hot if you see police?? what about wrong parking(and they discoverr..)
or speeding..?? today with the networks etc. its only one time that they need to see a plate and do several test on it.

cheers,

TKS

i'm only 21years if you thought in case you thought i had more..

Idiot Child.

IF it were to happen to you Mikey how would it feel?

Hit by an uninsured driver.
Your injuries don't receive the best treatment possible as he's unable to pay.

What if it was your Wife/GF/Child who got hit? eternity in a wheelchair because spinal injuries went untreated for too long due to an over-stressed NHS.. when his Insurance could have paid for top-of-the-line re-hab?

It's happened to someone I know, A nova with a 2 ltr lump in it hit her car. Nasty-ass injuries, and no insurance payout as the lad had thought "the police won't catch me, so it's OK" She still has trouble walking (2 years later)

One persons stupidity and selfishness has knock-on effects for others.

Personaly, I hope that you don't HAVE a wife/child GF... simply because people with your complete lack of regard for others and blatant idiocy shouldn't be allowed to pollute the gene-pool.

Harsh I know... but WHY ask a question when you have absoloutly no interest in listening to the answers?
It's idiotic.

Re: your comments about the Cobra-guy "That guy is suposed to be the pillar of society".... yes. And he was doing a goob job of it too!!
Since when did 'following legal channels to ensure the safety of others' Stop someone from being respected?? Surely you want a Nova 1.3SR .. not a Kit car?
