Fixing my dell pc
I would like to delete everything of my dell pc including all of the "making the pc work" stuff and reload back to how it was when i
bought it. I think over time i have downloaded and instaled to much "crap" and made it not work as well as when i first got it.
How do i do this? Do i just go to that program "add/uninstall" and just delete one by one?
Many thanks for your time as im bl**dy usless at this stuff.

get your recovery disc out and put it in the drive! then when it loads up select the reset to factory settings option

Yep as as the answer above.Just make suer if there is anything of any actual personal use, you back it up/copy it off first

Once you've re-installed, to rid it of all the Dell installed bloatware google "Dell decrapifyer"

On some Dells there's a recovery partition. You simply press F2 or whatever on boot to restore. This is usually a simpler option than using the
disks that came with the PC because the disks don't have the drivers. Back up your data first.

if you dont have the dell recovery disks let me know and i'll post you one, also before you reload log on to the dell site and download your
drivers ( you'll need your dell serial number off the sticker on your pc) as the lan wont work after a reload making driver downloads a tat hard

Yep done that and it has gone back to the manufacturers settings. Now when i start the pc it comes up with:

If i press f1 then it goes the normal windows startup screen and works normally and i still have all the programs that i didnt want on there?
1. How come all those programs are still on there?
2. Why does this "text" come up now before it will load up? Is it something to do with that "diskette drive 0 seek
failure"?
Wish i hadnt started this now and bought a new pc

What i want mate is to get rid of everything apart from what came on the pc when i got it. I think i might have got a bit carried away with the delete
button!!
My wireless is fecked again on the dell but its perfect on the new laptop which is bl**dy annoying. 
Can supply loads of coffee and cheese sarnies.

Well thanks to flak monkey aka wizz kid! My dell is running like a well oil'd machine again. Well chuffed.
It only took him 4 hours of hmmm's and arhhh's and oh yeh's to get it fixed.
