all parts are available from places like old ford autoparts ect search any of the mk1/2 escort dealers on the net

or if you fancy an upgrade i have a set of 9" rear drums same as the rs2000 with nearly new shoes took them off the car a cpl of days ago and were working fine or if you want bigger than that i have some capri 2.8/3.0 drums which also fit
i am just down the road in benningbrough if there anygood to you

if you want to pop for a coffe one day when i am theer i can take you throgh it step by step on an old pair

All the bits are NOT available.

If your drum brakes have the small rubber boot that fits around the handbrake lever and into the drumbrake backplate - guard it with your life.

Last I heard these were no longer available from ANY source.

Other than that I would;

1) paint the backplate with Hammerite
2) fit new shoes
3) fit new springs
4) clean up the handbrake mechanism and grease the pivots

Then you're all done for another 100,000 miles. The original Escort drumbrakes are amazingly robust.
