Noise simulation
I've never been in a soft top (I will have a roof!) and I figure that top down it's going to be noisy like having my head stuck out the
window like a dog, but is there any way I can get an idea of what the noise will be like with the roof up? Is going to be useful in deciding if I
bother to fit a cd player

I imagine a sevenesque will be louder than an mg midget so i would say dont fit a cd player as there is no way you will hear it.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Can't you just bag a ride with someone so you can make your own objective decision?
There is the security aspect to consider too, do you want to put something extra on offer?

? what an odd post, anyway it depends on how load your stereo is really…
I fitted 4 50 watt speakers on the Falcons back wall (rear bulkhead on a 7 will be just as good) and could hear it fine even with the sidescreens off
and a noisy side exit exhaust. If the stereo’s still not loud enough fit an amp and more speakers

if you can build a car, drive it, you can decide if you want one, and fit a stereo its dead simple. a wiring job even I can do! lol

Ask Hicost.
His car is fully hooded but I think he runs a sound system via the headphones/intercom system.
Chippy has surround sound in his car, ask him too.

Never found the need for ICE in my car even when driving long distances. Wouldn't be able to hear it anyhow. Find my car to be much noisier with
the roof up than with it down.
