Anyone have Wimbledon VRO Direct number?

I've been through the 0870 dvla route and they were supposed to send me out a "pack" with forms etc.
I have the 627/1 filled out with reciepts and my sva is 20th April. I'm trying to get them to come and inspect the car as soon as possible because if it passes sva I want to try and get to Stoneleigh.

Try here. Then ask to speak to wimbledon office I did with notts

http://www.dvla.gov.uk/contactus/localoffices/findnear/england.aspx

Youll be lucky with the inspection tho Notts office insist on making sure paperwork is in order before an inspection and wont do home inspections and you cant drive the car to their inspection.

Yep all the same with wimbledon.... you phone the main DVLA number and ask the local office to call you back. they usually do so within 2 hours. They do it this way because theres not always someone in the office. They have to go out and do other things and man the 'counter' which i can only assume is the front desk.

The number is a waste of time and money. Loads of dead end menus.
I tried another and got hold of a "person" who told me that they don't have the numbers for local vro's and I would have to submit an application to them before I can get an appointment
Application packs take 10 days to arrive

In a world of email, telephone etc, they don't even have their own contacts?

Don't see why not. I did it all following their advice.
It was back in 2002 though.
