is it ok to have the sides as open as that? i was going to panel mine in, but might not bother now.
also, seems to be part of MEV's chassis, but i'd wonder if both seat belts through 1 bolt is ok?
looks very nice though

Nice looking car,
However - unless that tube is 5mm wall, those top harness mounts are a death trap,
It's point loading the tube with a twisting moment on a long run of tube. The vertical plate will firstly dent into the tube before the weld
parts company or that whole tube bends...

I was thinking something similar with the harness mounts - but i'm no engineer, i've just been on this forum for far too many years.

Rear lights must be less than 400mm from extremeties of the vehicle. Fog seperated from brake by a min of 100mm edge to edge.
Where's your no plate light?? (may not be an sva req?? but will be an MOT.
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

Its not an SVA fail - but no number plate lamp.
Some of the covers over the shocks don't look that permanent.
Bottom of the seat edge perhaps.
Does the front flexi catch on the wishbone or is it tied to it? Looks like it catches from the light / angle.

I must say that seatbelt mount scares the crap out of me, even if it doesn't shear off the pipe in a crash, the plate doesn't look like
it's tough enough to stop the bolt just tearing out.

I've gotta say - that passenger seat belt top mount is just scary
It needs a horizontal tube adding at the right height with two mounts at the right spacing - is the drivers belt mouting as shoddy ?
Its cuz I is blond , innit

Also, panelling on the tunnel, the join near the handbrake looks a bit sharp.

Hi i think the front mud guards are too short at the rear for sva i think they have to go down to the center of the wheel
At the rear of the car there is a engine mount you may have to do something with it for the test

Front suspension mounts might need covering...
As said by many others.... Seat belt mountings are plain dangerous. IMHO

Looks like the handbrake cables are held via cable ties, they will expect solid mount.
Torsion mount on engine needs knock on edging.
Seat belt mounts are well over the top. They are made from 6x50mm steel fully welded to a 50mm dia CDS tube and according to our highly qualified
structural engineer it will take in excess of 8 ton to tear them off. Seat belt mounts need to with stand 2.5 ton beyond which there is little point
as the occupants organs wont survive. Loads of Rockets have passed the same test, so dont worry.
Wings are O.K as they cover the rims (virtically).
One failed last week as the speedo needed swiching to the correct mode when ignition switch is turned on. (needs a seperate supply).
Interior mirror required, but you dont need to see anything via it.
Indiactors at rear need to have light emitting area at least 350mm from road.
250mm for fog.
Steering wheel will need a piece of Shore 50 rubber on it as air bag cover is not soft enough.
Mirrors will need to be higher to see over wings.
UJ on column may need cover if not in the exclusion zone.
Other than that it looks a great job.
Remember to call mewhen you have passed so I can send your "MEV on the road" present.
WELL DONE. Stiggy
p.s
Take a box of ties, rubber, P clips, etc you may be allowed to sort any minors out on site.
