Urgent Anti Virus Help
Hi all,
I have just had my McAfee annual subscription run out and im now looking for a good free antivirus to download, can anyone provide links for good ones
and also let me know what i need to do as im not to good with pc's ect..

AVG free is also good if you have any problems with Avast
|

And dont forget you will need some kind of removal tool from McAfee as you cant just un-install Norton AFAIK .
Its cuz I is blond , innit

Mcafee != Norton.
You should just be able to uninstall your old AV, reboot, and install the new.
You'll have a little while without protection, so avoid too much interwebbing during that time.
Also, my AV vote goes for Nod32. not free, but IMO well worth the money.

I have installed the aboue, It has asked me to register within 60 days, do i need to do this ?

No just uninstall it and install Avira Free-AV -

If you mean Avante, then yes register it, it's free and they don't spam you either. When you register you will be sent a
'key' to activate it beyond the 60 days.

AVG used to be good until version 8 - then it just got too bloated and CPU intensive.
