Clock Mileage Memory
Hi, Just wondering if a clocks mileage is recorded on the clocks themselves or on the ecu? Pointless i know im just interested.

I guess that there is an EPROM somewhere in the system and it depends where that bit is located. The clock itself is just a display nowadays

Whats the car/electronics from?
Some/most will keep it in the clocks....

i sent my 05 clocks to be reset, so deffo in the clock not the ecu

Most clocks certainly store it. However I believe that certain cars also store it elsewhere.

Its an R1 02-03 model so im guessing in the clock aswell as i initially thought it might. Difficult to guess the mileage of the engine then seeing as
i had a choice of two clocks when engine was bought from MNR originally from Malc before that and who knows they might not have been matched before
that.

yeah he wasnt entirely sure but said the group of engines he picked up were sub 4k i believe, although from initial collection it was pretty dirty.
