!st time out -- Wow
Had to delete the first one as too large.
It is mainly Luego, Chassis and wishbones everything else I have made or sourced independently.
The roll bar is a Dax Copy.
The color is VW Beetle (New) with base red stripe and lacquer on top.
And that road is close to Folkingham so not far from Spalding.

Just got back from taking the car out for a test drive (on private roads). My god that was good!! Am still grinning!! Brakes starting to bed in
nicely but have a bit of a flappy mudguard that needs sorting.
didn't go over 3000rpm but got that in 5th so with the cearing calcs that is about 80 and in about 150 - 200 yards! That is when the turbo is
about 1/3 of the way up it's torque curve so - oh my god I will have no licence left soon.
Lancia 2L Turbo!

Will get some more loaded (a decent size this time!)
The box is a story I t is a Fiat 131 with standard ratios, so close to an Abarth and hopefully as structurally sound as the Abarth. The bolt patern
is the same on the bell housing but the starter motor needed moving from left to right which was a chore.
The engine had to be sat upright by 20deg as it was inclined in the Lancia so the sump was chopped and wings fitted. Credit for advice and ideas must
go to Guy Croft a very capable engineer who has raced tuned and done everthing with Fiats, he is Mr Fiat.

Nice to another TURBO POWER CAR. Be very careful in the wet needless to say not so much fun unless you like living on the edge.

Thanks for all the compliments chaps, glad it's not just me that likes it.
The drive is great fun but will need to have quite a bit of practice to get the best out of it and Yes I can see that it will be a handfull in the
wet. I got a couple of significant twitches in the dry today without trying!
What power and torque is your ford running at, it's normally high is't it.

Nice looking car mate.
Will you be putting it on the road, it looks like it is going to be road legal. I take it from the way you are talking it has not been SVA'd so
I presume that it will be put through a test soon.
I note that you have based it on a Luego Chasssis, so in keeping with the protocol, may I welcome you to the Luego Owners Club.

Nice looking build, but that rollbar doesn't look very high. I'd guess that unless you're a jockey it isn't high enough to
protect you in a rollover. And I wouldn't want to be a passenger! Mine had a similar bar when I bought it - first thing I changed

I understand your concern about the roll bar and I did consider the whole protection thing. The drivers side is adequate as the seat is very low the
passenger?? oh well never mind!!
In reality how many of these have you seen on their roofs? (que the deluge of stories about roll overs!!)
