OT - Free CAD Drawing of space shuttle needed
Yes well it’s not exactly a car but it does have wheels and I know some of you are CAD guys
I need a simple CAD drawing (to scale) of the shuttle, no need for fancy 3D models with realistic panel detail etc etc, I see there’s ones on the web
in 3D but all require payment (with a credit card, isn’t going to happen)
I have AutoCad 2005 btw and I’m not all that great with the 3D side off it
Reason I need it is to produce cross sections through the airframe so as to build a model of it.
Thanks in advance

I can't say too much about it (I may market it as a kit if it works well)
but it will be r/c and it will fly, not glide
no rockets though we have enough trouble with noise complaints at our flying site as it is

I would quite like to do an EDF version where you could jettison the edf unit (maybe in the fueltank) after launch and bring it down for a gliders
landing!

3ds files are supported by
Autodesk 3ds Max or 3D Studio
IMSI TurboCAD
Google SketchUp
MeshLab
Fortunately SketchUp is free and can export dwg or dxf files according to the manual. So should be easy enough if you can't find native files.

This is in Sketchup
Let me know if it's any good to you
Cheers

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!
