Did I misread the reg? TWP 369Y?
It came up as a Dutton sports?
It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......

I think it's 363Y... I'll be interested to see what his replies are (let us know). Sounds also like a report to eBay of an illegal item
for sale (passing off a Dutton as an MK) = ringing?

Yep, Dutton Sports is quite errr... 'legal', or it was in the early days. I built a Dutton Melos, registered as a Dutton Sports.... simply
built it using my old 1300cc Ford, went down the road, got an MoT and told the DVLC that it had changed it's body type to 'Dutton
Sports'. It then sprouted a V8, followed by several other lumps, then went IRS before some early bike engine experimentation and it's
destruction at Lydden. All delightfully untroubled by legislation, memories.
Comparing that to now, where now 3 years after the harrowing SVA, I now need to spend a several hours bolting on exhausts/catalysts/etc., for
emmissions, etc., at MoT time. Engine changes may involve taxation class changes, etc..... not that it matters, the Cameras are all out there to get
me. Paranoia, you bet.
Anyway, sorry, yes. This car may well have got a V5 from an obscure route, but heck, when I was teenager, this was OK (so was taking drugs)...

errr... yes, but using the reg from a Dutton and putting it on a car built using a different chassis doesn't quite meet current IVA/DVLA
rules

I'm loving all this righteous indignation from the people on here!!!
Who the f'#k cares what they're selling on ebay.
It's hardly as if we're paragons of virtue on this site! With our SVA bodges that 'fall off' 2 miles down the road, emissions
re-mapping after tests, having 2 cars with same details etc. etc.
Let him get on with it and buyer beware IMO.
Cheers,
James

Ditto.
AFAIR, vehicles registered (ahem!!) "...incorrectly...", are liable to be confiscated by the constabulary, and possibly crushed.
Has this actually happened yet??
Work-in-Progress: Changed to Zetec + T9. Still trying!!

Aaah......the old favourite, Land Rover. Sorry to repeat myself, (have listed this previously), I frequently encounter a 1963 reg LR, which clearly
has -
i) Range Rover wheels, and
ii) Defender chassis + suspension.
iii) Series 2 bodywork + updated mods.
When was the Defender version (i.e. coil sprung) first produced? Bet it wasn't 1963!!!
On the other hand, the vehicle has clearly been rebuilt using a factory-produced chassis (factory-built = type approved??).

Reported to eBay.
Ar$eholes like him give the kit car world a bad name.
As it is not correctly registered then it will NOT be insured.
SVA/IVA is there for a reason.

I'm with snuggs, I can see James' point bout some of our bits and bobs that fall off after SVA, but at SVA you will have built the car and
know whats going on with it; selling a bodged car on ebay is fraudulent in my opinion!

Hmmm.... well lets hack the back out of a pre-72 Mini, add IRS and a Hayabusa. Hell, while we're at it, lets replace the front end with
something as well.
Done?, Good!
Just take it down the road and MoT it as a Mini 1300....

TWP369Y is on the Motor Insurance Database today
The details on the MID are:
Vehicle Make/Model: DUTTON SPORTS
Clearly an illegal reg swap. Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole
