Why are people dumb?

Just listed my bike on ebay for buttons, as there are a few issues and I have no time to sort it out.

The advert listed it as a non runner due a few issues it has

Some nob jokey just bought it via buy it now, and asked "when can I collect? It will be ok to ride it 50 miles home won't it?"

How stupid to you have to be, its got a funny squeel noise over bumps, blowing exhaust AND NO WINDSCREEN!

I'm gonna loose the plot if he lets me down.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

this one?

hmm, it looks alright, plus with tax and mot, you say the exhaust is blowing, but if it runs and drives and is legal, i'd say it could be driven. may not be as silly a question as i thought, but you're right, he should really have asked before buying! maybe he got carried away with it being a bargain

the way you've described it i'd say it was a fair question. You've obviously pitched it to be a "buyer beware" but you do says its taxed / tested and you've been riding it for the last few weeks..... why can't he ride it home if you've been riding it?

Seems like a perfectly reasonable question to me in the circumstances, though as someone mentioned it would have been better to ask it before committing to buy.
