A bike battery should be fine, but saying that some members have had some troubles with certain engines and wiring looms. What engine do you have?

Mine is fine with a gel type bike battery (2000 R1 engine)

I had (and will have again when he's back on the road) a standard Honda FireBlade battery for my 'Blade Fury.

I believe it'll need regular use to keep it topped up, that or a decent trickle charger to help it along if it's not used very often.
