replacing R1 ht leads

As above
How have people replaced the leads on R1 coils I did mine ages ago and had to araldite them in as those little wedges broke trying to get the leads out and you can't get replacements, It's for another forum member and I don't think his have got the wedges either
recommendations please

The Yamaha XS1100 has coils with the HT leads built in.
There is a way of replacing the leads but it's a lot of faffing about so common practise is to fit Honda VF1000 coils as they have screw in lead clamps

The main thing is to check the primary resistance of the R1 coils to ensure they match.

IIRC some Kawasaki coils are screw in type as well.

Thanks for the loan of some coils Tony and the thread . Looking at the leads I think I should be able to push the lead into the pin and then seal around the top.
