Any ideas on how to wire an ammeter into a Pajero
As Above
I need to find out by a proccess of elimination which component is leaking to earth (by pulling the fuses) and draining the batteries.

If you've got a multimeter with a 30A setting just disconnect the battery and put the multimeter between the battery lead and the battery. As
long as you don't start the engine you'll be okay. If you do the current from the starter motor will kill the ammeter.

or to find out whats draining it, i think you can takke out each fuse in the fuse box one by one, then put the multimeter ammeter accross the fuse
terminals? (in the fuse box, not the fuse you took out )
that should give an indication to whats draining i think

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Pretty impossible to wire an ammeter into a modern car.
Much easier ways of finding what fuse the power is draining through.
Either use an ammeter that plugs in place of a blade (or mini blade) fuse or a clip-on 0-30 ammeter.
See ebay items
280315169401 (fits standard blade fuse holder)
250376902016 (fits mini blade fuse holder)
160335066596 (0-30 Clip-on Ammeter)

i favour what ben says - easiest. disconnect red lead from batery then plug in 10 A fuse and an multimeter set to maximum amp - usually 10 A (most
multimeters would be fused inside).
prior to that remove all fuses and put them back one by one noting the current.
