Argh! Low sun!!
Not something I'd ever though about before, but I've just been for a quick blast in the Indy, no problems going out but as soon as I
turned home the low summer sun got me right in the eyes and I couldnt see anything!
Pretty scarey going down narrow lanes just wide enough for two cars and not being able to see anything, the old forearm sun shade works a little but
still not fun at all.
Any advice or techniques , or should I just go earlier!

I had sunglasses on and a full helmet.
Not sure if a baseball cap would help as the sun was almost directly in front.

I use to have that problem with my old midget. I then found some clip on shade things for my glasses.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

A cheap solution is electric insulation tape on the top 1/4 of the visor, then if the sun hits hard, just drop your head so the tape blocks it.
Looks crap, but used to save me riding one handed, blocking the sun with my clutch hand on the long commutes home this time of year.

Sitting up in the seat and looking down works, combined with low speeds btw...

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Reminds me of the time an old missus kicked off cos I stopped for no apparent reason, apart from the fact I couldn't see cos of low sun.
One of the reasons why she's an old missus!
