Fuel Tank, Pump & Filter
Advice please.....I have Alloy Racing Fab Sumped Tank, Bosch 0580464077 Fuel Inj Pump and Sytec Filter....see pic. Wanted to mount these at the rear
of the car....
1) Do they need to be mounted below/level to the tank outlet?
2) Can they be mounted vertical (upright) or do they have to be horizontal.
Appreciate advice and any pics of similar setups would be great.
Cheers,
Matt

Wot no swirl pot?
Most people use a LP pressure pump below the tank outlet and then a swirl pot (which can be higher) feeding the HP pressure pump and filter pure
de-aerated fuel.
If you're not planning on doing this I'd have the HP pressure below the level of the tank and keep them vertical (to prevent trapped air
entering the fuel line and not being swirl'd to get rid of it). But personally I'd fit a LP pump and a swirl.
Don't forget an inertia switch to stop the HP pump in case of a prang...

Most , if not all cars have the fuel pump mounted horizontally . Filters can be either but most seem to be horizontal
