Vauxhall's own 1.7 diesel has the injection pump in front of the engine & the exhaust down the back like most things, but the Isuzu engine
has it down the back with the exhaust coming out the front side of the engine.
This is assuming they're the same as the Nova, Astras etc as I've never actually worked on a Corsa diesel!

do any of vauxhalls diesels have the same block (or gearbox mount holes) as the c20xe (and x20xev)?

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I expect the proper Vauxhall 1.7 diesels have similar mountings as they're based on the 8v OHC engine as the redtop was.
It gets confusing as there were Vauxhalls with a Vauxhall built 1.7 & Vauxhalls with an Isuzu 1.7, both of which came in N/A & turbo
versions.
In the later stuff i'm not so sure but I think there are still Isuzu & Vauxhall diesels fitted, a mate who does a bit more work on modern
diesels reckoned the Isuzu motor were fairly bomb proof but the Vauxhall ones not so good.

The isuzu ones are good engines. Theres the GM 1700 aswell as fitted to the astras just to confuse matters more.
