Surely there can't be THAT much differrence
Well I need to replace the bushes on the young lads corsa c. The problem being the huge differrence in cost.
Two local motorfactors are quoting £70 each side plus (not including VAT)
and that's supposed to be a trade to me price as well.
On the bay the same quality of parts are
Half price
The bushes alone add up to the price of a complete arm
rear bush
front bush
OR a complete arm pair for the same money
How much cheaper
and they are emarked apparently.
Discuss and justify please.
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

Tricky one 
they do say you get what you pay for but then again some people charge what they think they can screw out of someone 
Perhaps it's this kind of reverse logic where people pay more for stuff on the basis that it must be better than the cheaper stuff otherwise it
couldn't be more expensive. IE the reason why people in a restaurant often go for the 2nd cheapest wine (which is often gut-rot) as opposed to
the house (which often has a very minimal % increase over cost and is usually better)....
then again, if the bushes fail within 12 months it's a bit of a pain to re-do....
Comes back to the argument of time vs money. How much would you pay to not have to do it again soon? Though paying more doesn't have any
guarantees attached to it that it will prevent this!
Doesn't stop me using bargain basement brake pads on my tintop that wear thin quicker than my interest in the latest social networking site

same thing with mundano bones,cheaper to buy a complete arm than just the balljoint,they prob sell more that way hence the lower price

same with bmws too.
i'd just get the complete wishbone. saves getting more expensive bushes, then trying to get the old ones out, press the new ones in etc

Trouble is you go to the trouble of changing the bushes then a month later the ball joint could be worn
Complete new arms for me all the time new metal and 2 new bushes and a brand new ball joint

I will be going for the whole arm ( should have said that) as one on the ball joint boots is split.
BUT given that the local trade price wil bw £100 plus vat for a pair
ebay quality items ( IF THEY ARE FAI )are £95 all in delivered
OR A PAIR for £53 delivered than there is still a huge differrence.
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

Get a wishbone. Its easier. The ebay ones will be ok.
Just as a reference. I pay 41 quid each for them arms at work from CASfor our combo vans which are the same.
