More dentist fun
It gets better.
Since my extraction last thursday, it's been, how shall we say, "interesting".
Had to go back yesterday because it was so sore only to be told that I have exposed bone, or dry socket as it's known.
Google it if you wish, it's not fun.
It seems it can take weeks for it to heal.
SWMBO is just away down to the shops to see if she can get some clove oil, which apparently helps.
It's like the worst toothache, but with no actual tooth, just your jaw exposed. (With apologies to the medics amongst you.)
If she can't, keep your eyes on ebay for some cheap tools and a crap old Sylva for sale, due to husband's suicide.
It's pretty grim.
Oh, and the Metronidazole I was given are giving my stomach gip, not to worry, that's what the omeprazole are for, along with the ibuprofen for
the ache.
Woohoo.
Not.

need more details please.....
about the Sylva
Sorry to hear of your pain. us blokes have a lower threshold (as our wives keep telling us) so therefore any pain we get is more painful.

My SWMBO had that after an extraction a year or so ago.
NOT NICE I remeber having to take her to Aand E at 2 in the morning in tears because she just did not know what to do with herself and was in tears of
despair.
Hang in ther mate. I hope it passes quickly.
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

No, you really don't need any more details.
I've already told you all you need to know.
It's a Sylva.
It's old.
It's cack.
There you go, job done.

Metronidazole does that but is ace for the sort of bugs you get in the mouth. Take it with food or porrige if you can't chew. Ibuprofen also
cuts up the stomach lining so better to avoid it and take paracetamol +/- codeine for the pain (or get something stronger from your doc) to ease some
of the load on the stomach.

She couldn't get any.
All she could get was Bonjela which too a wee bit of the edge off it I guess.
Currently in bed with my gob clamped shut, which isn't a bad thing I guess...
This s the only comfortable way to communicate right now.
