Engine Crate

Does anybody know where I can get a wooden crate for packaging an engine to be picked up by a courier for shipping in the North East or North Yorkshire?

unless its worth plenty ? Brakers tend to strap them to a small euro pallet and then wrap them round with yards of cling film.

As above, cheap cruddy little pallet with loads of clingfilm, the only other way I've seen it done was the engine split into pieces and put in large flight cases - but that was £150k engine!

It should be fine on a pallet but you are best off double checking with him, last thing you want is for him to get it and complain something is broken!

Plus if he's arranging shipping he may have already specified the way that needs to be packaged? Sat on an old tire and rathcetted to the pallet before covering might be a good idea? Good luck

Just by coincidence I've just mentioned this in another thread tonight, I sold an engine & box plus a load of other stuff on ebay & it went to Italy.
I work for a quad dealer & the smaller quads come in a diposable knock down steel crate that ends up in the scrap so I used one to send the engine in, ideal.
I've got a few here but I'm thinking it's long way for what you want!
Have a look for franchised quad dealers in your area, ours is for Polaris but I expect other brands use similar crates.
