14" Tyres.
Looking to fit some 14" wheels as 13" wont fit. I know it's a limited market but there are a few. I was looking at Yoko A021R,, at
£66 + vat. Any advice on other options. 90% of the time will be on the road, local blats.

You don't say what size (width, aspect ratio) or mileage you want to get out of them, but A048's, Toyo R888's and Kumho V70A
Ecsta's are available in some sizes of 14"
I'm assuming tyres of a similar nature to the A021R's

The A021R would appear to be the perfect compromise for lightweight road car. I've run them on my 205 and they're brilliant in the dry
(not far off the A048Rs) but they also work well in the wet and standing water. I cant really comment on wear as I've only done a couple of
hundred miles on them, but i presume wear rates would be a bit better than the 48Rs.
Only downside is they only make them in 4 sizes! Mine are the 185/60 R14.

Is there a reason you won't go with 15's?
I have found tyres for 15's to be a lot cheaper than tyres for 14's. I bought a set of four Toyo T1-R's for £120 TOTAL (not
each).
195/50/15 is the sweet spot for value as far as I can tell.

If budget is a large facter then yes, maybe, but for overall performance you'd be much better off with 14s and the Yokos. You can even use then
in the roadgoing hillclimb classes now.

i have a striker that takes 14" wheels. I have two sets and i want to change them both in the next year. Are cam skill the cheapest? Nearer the
time ill do a search for cheap tires but as people are talking about it i though i would ask.
I want a set of good long life all round tires and a set of super sticky but road legal ones for track use.
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!
