Automatic van.

Hello poppets

I'm looking about for an Automatic Merc sprinter type van.

Criteria :

automatic (stupid cripple-ness, I cant drive a manual.)
able to stand a 5 foot 1 and 2/3rds person in
3 seats or more in the front.

Can you recomend vans that fit that? (Doesnt have to be a sprinter)

Also some where I may be able to get one? I've look on the bay, pre loved and auto traider vans, but they are over my budget!

I'm looking for a mobile studio / transport van to take stuff to fairs / place to hide from ben

Thanks

Beanie (Benzines better 1/3)

i would think that most panel vans would let you stand up at 5 foot odd, and most are 3 seat.

Autos are rare though, i dont recall seeing one though obviously they are out there.

Ebay would let you search the commercial section for autos, or maybe go to a proper auction just to see and compare.

Good luck!

What's your budget ?

Your not going to get much for under two grand, only four on autotrader less than that.

As someone who can only drive auto's due to disability, I feel your pain. According to a guy at the hire shop Transits, Merc vans and VW vans are all available with autos and VW is were your most likely to find one.

i know someone who's workplace converted a transit for him after he had an accident.probably your cheapest option,on the older style transit anyway, just throw a granada box at it.as for more modern ones or other makes i dont recall ever seeing another auto van!

I hired a VW Transporter last year.
Six speed auto with Sport mode, 2.5 TDi and it absolutely flew.
Suggest you have a test-drive because I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Thats what the hire guy said I could have, but they charge a premium for it because they only had 2 with Auto's.

My Dad says alot of old Transits were sold with an Auto box with the selector on the dash, he said the ground works company he worked for had 7 in 1986.

My parents have a Merc Vito with an auto box, but probably a bit small for your requirements.
