Upper Harness Mounts
I will be placing my upper harness mounts through a 34mm tube running across between the uprights of my roll-bar. I am using M12 bolts for the lower
mounts and intend to use the same for the upper.
My question is, do I have to get threaded tubes to take the bolts or can I use suitable I/D steel tube to take an M12 bolt and use locking nuts?
Depending on which one I need, where is the best place to source the necessary tubes? I tried at Stoneleigh today but didn't manage to find
anything.
Cheers.

i think the manual is quite vague on this one. i'd say best go with threaded tube welded both sides through the chassis tube.
in fact it only mentions threaded bushes
my chassis came with eyes already welded to the chassis, which i think is plenty strong enough, but the manual used to say 'if using a threaded
bush, it has to be welded both sides of the chassis tube' but only IF

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I just used tube and fitted bolts through it.
I SVA'd not IVA'd though. But don't think it's changed.
Cheers,
