Ive used bike brake cables for 3 years no problems
Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

think i solved my problem....the throttle was very jerky in its motion despite trying to lubricate....on closer inspection i noticed the route the
cable took gave it 2 fairly tight turns so i re routed it along a much "friendlier" path and the whole thing is much more fluid in its
motion......hopefully i can get the much needed smoother take offs instead of breaking my neck each time
