Toyo R888's urgently needed (tomorrow)
Hi
Went for a quick drive out this afternoon and must have driven over something that has made a cut/tear in my N/S rear tyre - looks too big to be
repaired.
Can anyone recommend somewhere that will be open tomorrow & have stock of at least a pair of rears (205/50R15) and if a good price will get fronts
too (195/50R15).
I am in Glossop near Manchester and willing to drive a fair distance.
Any suggestions as to where is best?

Ears Motorsport would be ideal I know exactly where they are.
They dont show R888's on their website but will ring them first thing tomorrow.
Is that legal stuff right? I didn't think that the selling control restrictions came in till 2012? Can anyone confirm this?

It's not the 2012 regulations, it's to do with Toyo restricting their suppliers and increasing prices. You may get tyres off other
suppliers but they'll be old stock...

In answer to your text Dan, I got my new 888's through a local supplier I use. He got them in direct from Toyo within 48hrs.
If you pop in with it tommorow I'll have a look and see if it's as bad as you think. I've got a set of Wolfrace 15" wheels
with Bridgestone tyres on, if you needed something to use untill you get another 888.
Sorry not to get back to you earlier but I've been visiting the hospital.

mnr do a full set of 15" pro race 1.2's and r888's and would work out cheaper than just 4 tyres from demon tweeks

Simon from Ears Motorsport (Macclesfield) sorted me out 2 tyres.
They carry stock and by 2.30pm today (Sat) I was sorted.
Highly recommended.

That's interesting. Did he mention anything about Toyo's dealer list as I mentioned above? It's still on their website but maybe
they've gone back on it. Prices might come down too. What did you pay for them?

Possibly as the EU Democracy Secret Police have decided to ban them maybe Toyo are keen to get rid of their stocks of R888s
