dunno
As some day it may happen that a victim must be found,
I've got a little list-- I've got a little list
Of society offenders who might well be underground,
And who never would be missed-- who never would be missed!

Got the vin plate off the car it came off, otherwise crack off the cove and count the teeth
Failing that just name it Trevor!

7" Sierra diff. To check the ratio, put a mark on the input flange or propshaft and count how many revolutions it takes to complete one full
turn of the wheel. It will almost certainly be either 3.62 or 3.92

Where are these infamous tags? Never seen one on a diff but might be looking in the wrong places

Do what Hellfire said and count how many times the input needs to go round to get the outputs (shafts) to do one full turn. You need to check both,
and it they end up in slightly different places, average it so one is ahead by the same amount as one is behind if you see what I mean.
As some day it may happen that a victim must be found,
I've got a little list-- I've got a little list
Of society offenders who might well be underground,
And who never would be missed-- who never would be missed!

copy the bit of code under the pic - and paste that into your post like this:
[pg=48498] (ive turned off the BB code in this post so you can see the code not the pic)
as for which diff - whats under those plastic caps on the top mount, is it the bolt heads or the nuts ?
