brake problems on R1
Afteroon all im in need of some help on with my wiring on my 06 r1
basically i thought i had everything sorted but have noticed my brake lights have stopped working, now there are a couple of reasons why i think this
has happened but i need some help ruling something out. I fitted an immobilisor the other day which involves removing the ignition wires from the r1s
fuse box but i have noticed that the brown/blue wire from G also goes to the Ignition wire B obviously now i have removed the brown/blue wire from B
could this affect my brake lights?
wiring
If its not this then it could be my brake light switch has broken but want to rule out other things first is there a way of testing the switch without
taking it out of the braking lines as would rather avoid having to bleed the system.
Seriously appriciate any help Greg

try wiring it back in as it was, if it works then youll know its the immobiliser.

Take the wires of the switch and connect them together, if the light comes on the switch is fact
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

if its a pressure switch, then I'd put my money on it being broken.
Definitely check the switch before taking anything else apart.
